SCHOOLS SPECTACULAR 1984 - 2009

Mary Lopez helped create the concept in 1984 and has directed the annual production ever since. The Spectacular showcases the finest talent in the NSW Public Schools system in a two-and-a-half hour themed variety spectacular staged at Sydney Entertainment Centre.

Featuring 3000 performers including an 80-piece symphony orchestra, dancers, bands, soloists and a 1000-voice choir, the show is broadcast nationally on ABC Television.

Since 2001, Mary has worked closely with the ABC Television production team to create a major television spectacular which consistently receives top ratings across Australia.
