Mary Lopez has been behind dozens of major public events in Australia, involving high profile entertainers, as well as talented youth. Her passion and commitment to the Music and Entertainment Industry has helped to shape the Industry as it stands today. Her productions are of an International standard due to the wealth of knowledge and expertise that she has developed over her 50 year career.
Her significant production credits include ‘An Australian Christmas’ at Darling Harbour, the ‘NSW Premier’s Concert’, the ‘World Indigenous People’s Conference’ Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the ‘Australia Day Concert’ at the World Expo in Tsukuba, Japan, the ‘Papal Welcome’ and ‘Celebration for the Beatification of Mary MacKillop’, and ‘Jubilee 2000′ at Sydney Super Dome featuring more than 2,000 young performers from Catholic schools.
The focus of her work is to create and direct productions that are inclusive of groups that had been left out of standard expressions of Australian cultural life. Mary’s work has always featured and promoted the richness of Australia’s indigenous cultures, the abilities of disabled groups, and the cultural diversity of ethnic minorities.
